Stimulated Raman scattering of KrF laser radiation in deuterium

Abstract:
An investigation was made of the efficiency of the generation of the first four Stokes components of the KrF laser radiation in deuterium at various gas pressures and for various pump radiation energies. The results obtained for a laser with and without external injection of radiation were compared. Such injection made it possible to reach the quantum efficiencies of 27% and 12% for the generation of the third and fourth Stokes components, respectively.
