Abstract: The spatial and energy characteristics of radiation from a pulsed Nd3+ : YAG laser transversely pumped by laser diode arrays are studied experimentally by varying the resonator parameters. The differential efficiencies of the laser for multimode and close to single-mode free running lasing were measured to be 48 % and 40 % – 42 %, respectively.
