Abstract: A description is given of the structure of simple industrial lasers pumped by a self-maintained discharge. The results are reported of tests involving lasing of exciplex molecules ArF*, KrCl*, KrF*, XeCl*, and XeF*, as well as of nitrogen, CO2, and molecular and atomic fluorine.
