Abstract:
Microstructure fibres with a special dispersion profile are shown to allow the creation of highly efficient sources of frequency-tunable ultrashort pulses with a smooth envelope and a controlled chirp for high-resolution time-resolved coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering spectroscopy. We present pulse-duration and group-delay measurements for anti-Stokes signals generated in microstructure fibres by femtosecond pulses of a Cr : forsterite laser. Frequency-tunable anti-Stokes pulses produced and shaped in microstructure fibres are employed for coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering spectroscopy of toluene solution.
