Abstract: A model of a pulsed liquid solar-pumped laser is constructed. A neodymium-containing phosphorus oxychloride (POCl3–SnCl4–Nd3+) liquid is proposed as an active medium. The lasing parameters of this medium are calculated for a spaceborne laser as functions of its size and the coefficient of solar energy concentration.
