Abstract: The polarisation of radiation of high-power industrial multitubular, diffusion-cooled CO2 lasers is studied. The conditions of the appearance of linear and elliptic polarisation and of polarisation instability are determined. The relation between the laser parameters and its polarisation characteristics is established.
