Effect of cubic nonlinearity on reflection and transmission of laser radiation in a one-dimensional photonic crystal
V. A. Bushuev, A. D. Pryamikov Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Physics
Abstract:
The problem of reflection and transmission of laser radiation in a one-dimensional photonic crystal with the Kerr nonlinearity is solved by the method of successive approximations using the Parratt recurrent relations. It is shown that due to the self-consistent change in the spatial distribution of the radiation intensity and the refractive index, the value and shape of the reflection and transmission coefficients strongly change compared to those for a linear photonic crystal.
