Laser beams

Rotation of arbitrary laser beams using π/2-mode converters

A. A. Malyutin

Prokhorov General Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow
Abstract: Two types of rotators of arbitrary beams based on astigmatic π/2 and π converters of laser modes are described. Unlike traditional rotators of Dove prism type, proposed schemes use exclusively refracting optical components. Numerical simulations of the beam rotators are performed based both on Fresnel theory and ray-tracing method.
