Possible industrial use of pulsed laser heating of insulator surfaces in the presence of an electric field

Abstract: It is suggested that laser radiation can be used in combination with an electric field in industrial processing of materials. A calculation of the characteristics of electret structures formed in an insulator as a result of this combined treatment is reported.
