Stimulated Raman scattering of cnoidal waves

Abstract:
Specific features of SRS conversion of multisoliton periodic cnoidal waves into high-energy cnoidal waves at the Stokes frequency falling within the range of anomalous group-velocity dispersion are investigated. Dependences of the maximum compression degree of the pump pulse and the characteristic distance of Stokes-wave excitation on the energy localisation parameter of the cnoidal pump wave are presented.
