Abstract:
Results of a study of a repetitively pulsed three-module electric-discharge DF laser operating on an SF6 – D2 mixture are reported. It is shown that the optimisation of the cavity Q-factor, the pressure of the working mixture, and its composition, provides a 400-W output power at a pulse repetition rate of ~ 10 Hz.
