Regenerative regime in optomechanical transducer with modulated pump

Abstract:
The problem of detection of weak classical forces by an optomechanical transducer with modulated pump is considered. For increasing the sensitivity of the scheme, it is proposed to realise the parametric regeneration of the optical cavity by introducing an additional quadratic nonlinear element driven at the doubled frequency. The ultimate sensitivity of such a transducer is estimated, and the prospects of its practical realisation are discussed.
