The possibility of enhancing light squeezing by cascade parametric oscillation

Abstract:
Quantum fluctuations of the output radiation amplitude in a cascade of unidirectional ring optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) operating upon pumping below the threshold are studied theoretically. It is shown that, by using a cascade of OPOs, one can reduce the spectral density of the fluctuations due to more efficient light squeezing.
