Abstract:
The results of experiments devoted to the excitation of fluorescence and Raman scattering in matter near a nanotip are analysed. The possibilities of practical application of nanotip-enhanced radiative effects are discussed. A brief introduction to the principles underlying the operation of various microscopes with a scanning tip is presented.
