Abstract: We study the effect of low-intensity laser radiation on the optical anisotropy of the epidermis of plant leaves. It is shown that a layer of plant cells of various cultures has an optical activity that can lead to a transformation of the polarisation state of laser radiation and to a change in the nature of its interaction with the molecular system of the cell. The obtained data allow us to state that the degree of polarisation may depend on the cell structure and shape of plant epidermal cells. This is an important factor in the interaction of polarised laser radiation with proteins and enzymes contained in plant leaf cells, which are characterised by isomerism of physical and chemical properties.
Keywords: polarised laser radiation, epidermis anisotropy, plant leaves, interaction model.
