Numerical study of the scheme of a fibre optical parametric oscillator with two-arm synchronous pumping

Abstract: An innovative scheme of a fibre optical parametric oscillator with two-arm synchronous pumping is presented and numerically simulated in a wide range of parameters. The regions of existence of stable generation regimes of parametric pulses are found depending on the peak power of pump pulses and their temporal overlap with parametric pulses (relative delay) when the carrier wavelength of the pump pulses in the arms is detuned to 1 nm and use is made of a photonic-crystal fibre 33 and 43 cm long. It is shown that this two-arm synchronous pumping allows the maximum energy of generated pulses to be almost doubled compared to the linear scheme, up to 57 nJ, and acts like the detuned filters of the Mamyshev oscillator, making it possible to obtain pulses with parameters that are inaccessible when using other schemes.
