Abstract:
Theoretical and experimental investigations of the conditions for ensuring the generation of multiple radiation components with a small inter-wave interval in the crystal Raman laser with synchronous pumping with combined frequency shift in the high- and low-frequency vibrational modes of the Raman-active crystal were carried out. Theoretical analysis showd a significant role of four-wave Raman-parametric interactions in the low-frequency vibrational mode of the crystal when the conditions of coherence and nonlinear locking of wave phases in such interactions were satisfied. For the first time, Raman lasing at five closely spaced vibrational modes with the wavelengths of 1194, 1242, 1294, 1336, and 1396 nm was experimentally realized in SrMoO4 crystal under the action of synchronous pumping by picosecond YAlO3:Nd3+ laser at the wavelength of 1079 nm with high intensity satisfying the condition of nonlinear phase lock.
Keywords:
