Abstract:
We have demonstrated integration of 24 external-cavity laser diodes into one spectrally narrow-band emitter with a wavelength near 779 nm, a total power of more than 35 W, and a spectral width of no more than 0.1 nm. The use of a volume phase grating as a spectrally selective element in the emitter makes it possible to narrow the spectrum width to 0.02 nm or less.
