Abstract: Additional absorption was observed in the 0.9 — 2.5 μm range in a KTP crystal irradiated by gamma rays with doses up to 5 ×107 R. No additional absorption was observed in the 1.4 — 2.5 μm range. Characteristics of optical parametric oscillation in a gamma-irradiated KTP crystal pumped by a pulsed Nd3+:YAG laser at 1.064 μm were studied.
