Abstract:
The relationship between the energy and the width of the spectrum of a collapsing electromagnetic wave and the maximum energy density at the focal point has been found. The solution method can be used to simulate the propagation of ultrashort pulses without using the slowly varying amplitude approximation.
Keywords:
collapsing electromagnetic wave, energy density, ultrashort pulses.
