Abstract: The lasing regimes of a diode-pumped Nd : YAG laser with mode locking by a spherical mirror and a travelling-wave acoustooptic modulator (SMAOM method) are investigated. The lasing dynamics at mode spacing detuning from the doubled operating modulator frequency and with a change in the diffraction modulator efficiency is studied. The results of measuring the pulse duration and the frequency spectrum of output radiation are presented.
