Mechanism of the appearance of a diffractive nonreciprocity in a ring gas laser
T. V. Radina, A. F. Stankevich Institute of Physics, St. Petersburg State University
Abstract:
It is shown theoretically that diffraction leads to a difference between the losses and phase velocities of counterpropagating waves in ring gas lasers. This is the cause of the appearance of the amplitude and frequency nonreciprocity of these waves.
