Precession dynamics of the relativistic electron spin in laser-plasma acceleration

Abstract:
A model is developed to study the precession dynamics of the relativistic electron spin in a laser-plasma accelerator versus the initial energy of the electron and its injection phase. Optimal parameters providing minimum depolarisation of the electron in the acceleration process are determined.
