Abstract:
A system comprising a cavity mode and two-level atoms, consisting of two resonant circuits with a nonlinear dynamic coupling coefficient, is examined. It is shown that two stable steady-state oscillation amplitudes may exist in the system and that the transition between them takes place via a change in the external-signal frequency.
