Parameters of liquid crystals considered as media for pulsed thermophotography

Abstract: A report is given of the characteristics of liquid crystals used in recording the spatial distribution of the intensity of thermal radiation. It is shown that such crystals can be used to obtain half-tone records of the thermal radiation field, in the same way as the photographic films are employed in the visible range.
