Laser-like effect in experiments with the Vulcan laser

Abstract: Experiments performed with the Vulcan laser to irradiate copper-coated carbon fibres were analysed. The superlinear growth of the intensity of 11.1 nm radiation, emitted in the longitudinal direction, induced by increasing the fibre length was shown to be, at least partly, due to laser-like effect.
