Full-text PDF (342 kB) Citations (3)
Abstract: An investigation was made of the possibility of increasing the efficiency of conversion of infrared radiation in a proustite crystal pumped by ultrashort pulses. The quantum efficiency of this conversion of CO2 laser radiation to the visible range was 11% (the corresponding power efficiency was 175%) when the proustite crystal was pumped by pulses generated in a mode-locked ruby laser.
