Abstract:
An analysis is made of the physical processes in laser targets subjected to different heating and compression regimes. The results are given of numerical calculations for CD2 targets of different types carried out using a program allowing for the main physical processes. It is shown that calculations predict simultaneous heating and compression of a part of a specially selected hollow spherical target. An analysis of diagnostic possibilities shows that this situation can be identified using currently available diagnostic apparatus and laser systems.
