Abstract: Continuous tuning of the emission frequency of a CO2 laser operating at 5 atm was obtained for the Р and R branches of laser transitions in a combined range of about 45 cm–1. This was achieved for a maximum energy of 0.1 J per pulse and a spectral line width of 0.05 cm–1.
