Abstract:
A fast (transient) component of the photoinduced quadratic (second-order) susceptibility was observed in a glass doped with CdSxSe1-x semiconductor microcrystallites. The experimental results, obtained by a new method involving counterpropagating write and read pulses, confirmed the photogalvanic nature of the effect.
