Abstract:
This paper presents a defect — deformation (DD) theory of the formation of a nanoparticle ensemble under cw laser irradiation. A formula is derived for a bimodal nanoparticle size distribution function expressed through a bimodal growth rate of laser-induced DD surface gratings.
