Abstract:
A description is given of a numerical method for solving the equation for a liquid-crystal lens. An analysis is made of the results of a numerical search for the optimal parameters of the control voltage. An experimental system for calibration of modal liquid-crystal lenses is considered. The operation of this system is based on real-time analysis of interferograms. The results are reported of demonstrations of the use of adaptive lenses in incoherent-light imaging and in adaptive systems for laser radiation focusing.
