Nonorthogonally magnetised permanent-magnet Faraday isolators

Abstract:
This paper describes a novel configuration of permanent-magnet magnetic systems for high-power Faraday isolators that are used in high-power lasers. An increase in magnetic field is ensured by magnets with a magnetisation vector inclined to the isolator axis. Numerical simulation results agree well with experimentally determined magnetic field distributions.
