Abstract: The alternative method of atomic iodine generation for a chemical oxygen — iodine laser (COIL) in chemical reac-tions with gaseous reactants is investigated experimentally. The influence of the configuration of iodine atom injection into the laser cavity on the efficiency of the atomic iodine generation and small-signal gain is studied.
