Abstract: The absorption spectra of MgF2 samples exposed to an electron beam and laser radiation at 248, 308, and 372 nm are investigated. Fourteen individual absorption bands are separated in the spectra. The parameters of the eight spectra of them are obtained for the first time. The separated bands are assigned to the intrinsic defects of the MgF2 crystal.
