Abstract: An analysis is made of the possibility of using the rotation of the field in unstable resonators to reduce their sensitivity to intracavity distortions. It is shown experimentally that a considerable improvement in the angular characteristics of laser radiation with cylindrical-lens distortions can be achieved by the use of an unstable resonator with field rotation.
