Experimental investigation of the nitrogen-induced broadening of the water vapor absorption line

Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of the self-broadening and nitrogen-induced broadening of the absorption line profile of water vapor at short wavelengths. An increase in the water vapor pressure from 2.7 to 8.8 Torr produced a Doppler profile. The nitrogen-broadened profile was complex.
