Generation of coherent radiation in F2 color centers in an LiF single crystal

Yu. L. Gusev, S. N. Konoplin, S. I. Marennikov
Abstract: Pumping with dye laser radiation generated coherent radiation in F2 color centers in an LiF single crystal. The conditions were determined under which previous exposure of this crystal to ionizing radiation produced F2 centers which were mainly responsible for the 0.45 μ absorption band. The spectral range of the operation of lasers utilizing these centers was determined.
