Nondirectional glow of transparent dielectrics under the action of laser radiation

M. F. Achilov, M. A. Kasymdzhanov, D. P. Krindach, O. V. Trunilina, N. K. Khabibullaev
Abstract: The results are given of an experimental investigation of the radiation emitted by transparent dielectrics due to the passage of a laser beam. A number of properties of this radiation resembled luminescence with a wide spectrum (exceeding 10 000 cm–1). In nonlinear crystals some of this radiation could be due to the scattering of parametric luminescence by inhomogeneities.
