Natural Sciences Center at General Physics Institute of RAS, Moscow
Abstract: An investigation was made of the photochemical reduction of Au3+ by resonant laser radiation. A study was made of the kinetics of the Au3+ → Au0 reduction in an HCl solution in the presence of reducing agents. An estimate was obtained of the influence of impurities (Fe3+) on the process kinetics. The quantum yield of the photoprocess and the rate constant of the reduction reaction were determined.
