Characteristics of the evolution of lasing in electron-beam-pumped semiconductor lasers

Abstract: A new approach to the description of the dynamics of semiconductor lasers is suggested on the basis of a model proposed previously. It is shown that this approach can describe from a unified standpoint both spiking emission and changes in the emission spectrum during a pump pulse.
