Abstract:
Strata synchronization, which made it possible to reduce significantly the noise and at the same time increase the output radiation power of cataphoretic metal vapor lasers, was investigated in detail as a function of the parameters of the active medium, geometric dimensions and construction of gas-discharge laser tubes, and an external transverse magnetic field. The results obtained were used to develop recommendations for practical use of strata synchronization in cataphoretic lasers.
