Abstract: The example of an LiIO3 crystal is used to demonstrate the possibility of increasing the spectral width of the phase-matching curve for difference frequency generation as a result of a noncollinear interaction under dispersive phase-matching conditions. It is shown that the frequency of dispersive phase matching can be altered by varying the angle between the incident beams.
