Microwave-pumped helium–neon laser

Abstract:
An analysis was made of possible advantages of a microwave-pumped He–Ne laser. It was found experimentally that the use of a microwave discharge in a He–Ne laser lowered the threshold pump power, increased the laser output power, and reduced the length of the active medium.
