Abstract:
Stimulated emission was observed as a result of transitions in the Be II ion (λ = 467 and 436 nm) in an expanding laser plasma strip (2 cm long and 200 μ wide) formed on the surface of a solid target by a neodymium laser pulse (~20 J, ~ 10 nsec).
