Stimulation of scattering in a Compton laser by decelerated waves (semiclassical theory)
V. A. Dubrovskiĭ, B. G. Tsikin
Abstract:
A method is suggested for increasing the efficiency of the interaction between electron and laser beams in a Compton laser. This method is based on additional scattering stimulation by decelerated waves. Conditions are found under which such stimulation is possible. A semiclassical analysis of stimulated Compton scattering in the presence of an additional decelerated wave shows that the scattering probability and, consequently, the gain may be considerably higher than in the case of two-wave Compton lasers.
