Abstract:
Dynamic self-compensation of thermooptic inhomogeneities in optically dense active media of solid state lasers was investigated theoretically and experimentally. A solid state laser was made utilizing optically dense active media. Because of this effect, the laser exhibited a record efficiency at high average laser output powers with a satisfactory divergence of the output radiation.
