Competition of orthogonally polarized modes in a ring laser with a nonlinear absorber

M. V. Danileĭko, N. K. Danilov, V. R. Kozubovskiĭ
Abstract: The first experimental investigation was made of the effects of competition between orthogonally polarized waves in an He–Ne ring laser with a nonlinear-absorption cell. High-Q power resonances, whose frequency positions could be tuned within the Doppler profile, were obtained and investigated. This should make it possible to construct a two-frequency tunable stabilized laser.
