Abstract: An experimental study was made of the enhancement of the optical rectification (detection) resulting from the placing of a nonlinear crystal in an external Fabry–Perot resonator. A theoretical analysis was made of the influence of various factors on the resonator losses and, consequently, on the efficiency of a resonator optical detector. The experimental results supported satisfactorily the theoretical calculations.
