Waveguide-resonator laser

Abstract: Yttrium aluminum garnet laser with a waveguide in its resonator was constructed. The time characteristics of the output of this laser were investigated under free-oscillation conditions using resonators of different effective lengths. Locking of axial modes was observed when the waveguide was sufficiently long. The nature of the distribution of the output radiation in a plane perpendicular to the resonator axis was investigated.
